Comparison
silentVIP and Perk, side by side
Perk is a self-service travel and spend platform. silentVIP is a managed travel program. Both publish their prices. This page sets out where each one does more, with a source for every statement about Perk, and prices the same month on both.
In short
Which fits which program
Perk is likely the better fit if…
- Employees should search and book instantly without waiting
- You want expense management, card feeds and reimbursements on the same platform as travel
- You need live connections to your HR and finance systems
- You book a few trips a month and want no platform fee or monthly minimum, which Perk's Starter plan offers
silentVIP is likely the better fit if…
- You want a named specialist to source and own each trip

- You want the same policy check whether a trip is requested in the portal, by an assistant or by phone
- You bill several legal entities, and recovering refunds and unused credits matters to finance

Scope
What this comparison covers
What is compared
Perk's travel-only plans (Starter, Premium and Pro) against silentVIP's Essentials and Managed plans. Perk also sells Travel and Spend plans priced per active user, with starting prices that differ between the North America and Europe views of its pricing page, so this page quotes the travel-only plans, which are the same in both. silentVIP Enterprise is by quote.
Sources and dates
Perk's details come from its own pricing and product pages, checked on Oct 21, 2026. Perk may have changed things since, so confirm any figure with Perk in writing. Spotted something out of date? Email support@silentvip.com.
Booking
Perk
Each statement links to Perk's own page, checked Oct 21, 2026.
- Self-service booking of flights, trains, cars and stays in one place, on mobile, on desktop or through an AI assistant. Source
- Travelers can change or cancel their own bookings, “instantly in a few taps” in Perk's words. Source
- On Premium and Pro accounts, Airbnb stays are requested through a Concierge Service tab. Source
- Perk's support page describes its in-house team helping with flight, car, rail and accommodation bookings, and group bookings of nine or more travelers with one point of contact. Source
silentVIP
- There's no live self-booking engine. Travelers or assistants send a request, our team sends options within 4 business hours, and the traveler compares and selects them in the portal, with the full price, fare rules and policy status on each option.
- Assistants book for the travelers delegated to them, without shared logins. Our team takes phone and email requests under the same policy.
- The portal works in a phone browser and can be installed on a phone's home screen, with your upcoming trips and the urgent numbers available offline. There's no app-store app.
The difference: Perk suits travelers who want to search and book instantly themselves, with a concierge on the paid plans. silentVIP suits programs where a specialist sourcing every trip is the point, at the cost of waiting for options rather than booking on the spot.
Policy controls and approvals
Perk
Each statement links to Perk's own page, checked Oct 21, 2026.
- Travel policies and approval processes by plan: 1 on Starter, 10 on Premium and no limit on Pro. Source
- In-policy requests can be approved automatically, with pre-approval or two-step approval added for chosen teams, trip locations or expense categories. Source
- Dynamic budgets set percentage caps on flights and hotels, based on the cheapest or the median option available. Source
- Perk says its AI reads your policies and applies them to every booking. This is Perk's own statement. Source
silentVIP
- Rules for cabin by flight length, hotel caps by city, advance booking, preferred suppliers, a maximum trip cost and restricted destinations. Policy groups for standard, senior and executive travelers.
- An out-of-policy choice needs a written justification and goes to the traveler's approver, or a delegate while the approver is away. A change after approval is approved again.
- The same rules apply whether the booking comes through the portal, an assistant or our team. No dynamic, market-based limits.
The difference: Both check policy before anything is booked. Perk adds caps that follow market prices, and the number of policies depends on the plan. silentVIP keeps the justification, the approver's decision and any later change in one approval record.
Payments and expenses
Perk
Each statement links to Perk's own page, checked Oct 21, 2026.
- Perk Spend adds expense management, priced per active user, on its own or bundled with travel. Source
- Existing Visa, Mastercard and Amex corporate card programs can be connected to Perk. Source
- Employees can be reimbursed by ACH directly from Perk, which the pricing page says is included in every plan. The plan comparison lists card-only payment on Starter. Source
- Perk's own Platinum Visa card is listed for the EU, Switzerland and the UK; Perk corporate cards are marked as coming soon to the US. Source
- Travel Pro lists unlimited entities or companies. Travel and Spend Premium covers up to 4 legal entities. Source
silentVIP
- No corporate card and no expense-management product. Bookings are billed to the company, charged to a company card or marked employee-paid. Employee-paid items go to your expense system as a file.
- Invoices per legal entity, with every charge allocated to an entity, department and project when it's booked.
- Refunds are tracked from requested to received, and unused ticket credits are tracked to expiry and applied to new bookings.
The difference: If you want expenses, card feeds and reimbursements on the same platform as travel, Perk covers more ground. silentVIP covers travel billing only, with entity invoicing on every plan and close tracking of refunds and unused credits.
Integrations
Perk
Each statement links to Perk's own page, checked Oct 21, 2026.
- Perk says it integrates with more than 50 solutions, and has an API for building custom integrations. Source
- The plan comparison lists HR integrations as standard on Premium and advanced on Pro, none on Starter, and single sign-on on Premium and Pro. Source
- Perk's reporting FAQ says all integrations are available on Premium and Pro at no additional cost. Source
- Perk connects to AI assistants such as Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot and Gemini, to run reports, approve expenses and get trip information. This is Perk's own description. Source
silentVIP
- Accounting, expense and HR connections are files: journal files for QuickBooks Online, Xero and NetSuite, a general ledger file, expense files for Expensify and SAP Concur, and an HR roster import. Exports that fail because data is missing show the rows to fix.
- File exports are included on every plan; a custom export format costs $750 once.
- User provisioning from Okta and Microsoft Entra through SCIM, and a read-only connection (MCP) that lets an AI assistant your company already uses, such as Claude, answer questions about your own travel data.
- Sign-in by single-use email link, with two-step sign-in available. Single sign-on with Google or Microsoft is available on request, and an account can require it for everyone.
The difference: Perk connects directly to more systems. silentVIP's accounting, expense and HR connections are files someone downloads or uploads. If you need live accounting or HR syncing, that's a real gap.
Reporting
Perk
Each statement links to Perk's own page, checked Oct 21, 2026.
- Travel reporting by plan: simplified on Starter, advanced on Premium and custom on Pro. Source
- Custom dashboards that can be scheduled and exported, and CO2 emissions by flight route and hotel stay. Source
- Reports on your plan export as CSV or PDF. Only Admins and Analysts can open the reporting page. Source
- A live map shows travel managers who is traveling and where. Source
silentVIP
- Dashboard of spend by entity, department, project, supplier and traveler, with policy exceptions, outstanding refunds, unused credits and data coverage. Every table downloads as CSV.
- A monthly report with findings, recommended actions, owners and follow-up dates.
- Flight emissions estimated with UK government (DESNZ) factors.
The difference: Perk lets you build and schedule your own dashboards. silentVIP's monthly report is fixed in format, but every finding comes with an action, an owner and a date.
Support
Perk
Each statement links to Perk's own page, checked Oct 21, 2026.
- Support from people around the clock, in the app, with a target response time of one minute. Source
- Perk's pricing FAQ says there's no extra charge for trip changes or cancellations, account management or 24/7 travel support. Source
- The plan comparison lists a dedicated account manager on Premium and Pro, not on Starter. Source
- Duty of care is offered in partnership with International SOS. Source
- When a trip is disrupted, Perk says its AI rebooks or re-routes travelers automatically. This is Perk's own statement. Source
silentVIP
- Urgent help 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; office hours 8am–8pm ET and 8am–8pm AET, Monday to Friday. After-hours calls cost $45 each on Essentials and are included on Managed and Enterprise.
- Managed and Enterprise clients have a named account manager. Essentials clients are served by a shared team, with a named lead through implementation.
- Published commitments for urgent issues: acknowledgment within 5 minutes and ownership within 15 minutes.
- A named person owns each issue until it's resolved. No AI agent handles client requests.
The difference: Both answer around the clock. Perk publishes a response-time target and says its AI rebooks disrupted travelers automatically. silentVIP has a person own every request, with published commitments for urgent issues. On Essentials, after-hours calls are charged; Perk says its 24/7 support isn't.
Implementation
Perk
Each statement links to Perk's own page, checked Oct 21, 2026.
- Starter is self-serve: its button reads “Sign up”. Premium and Pro start with a demo. Source
- Perk's pricing FAQ says an implementation fee may apply, depending on the complexity of your setup and deal. Source
- Perk's cards page gives an example: a global implementation with 2 legal entities, an ERP, card integrations and single sign-on takes about 2 months. Source
silentVIP
- 4 to 6 weeks, in eight stages with a named owner and your responsibilities at each stage.
- Implementation is included for up to 500 travelers, with a fixed $3,500 fee above that.
- Existing bookings, unused tickets and open refunds move over on a tracked list.
The difference: Both let a company start on its own: Perk Starter by sign-up, silentVIP by creating a company account. For a larger setup, ask Perk for its implementation fee in writing and set it against ours.
Total cost
Perk
Each statement links to Perk's own page, checked Oct 21, 2026.
- Travel-only plans: Starter has no platform fee and charges 5% per booking. Premium is $99 a month plus 3% per booking, and Pro is $299 a month plus 3% per booking. Source
- The fee per booking is at least $2 and at most $30. Source
- Travel and Spend plans are priced per active user per month plus 3% per booking. Their starting prices differ between the page's North America and Europe views ($6 and $8, or $11 and $13, shown in US dollars), and its North America view says current Spend pricing is for a limited time. Source
- Add-ons listed on the pricing page include FlexiTravel, Duty of Care, Green Trip and medical and baggage insurance. No add-on prices are shown. Source
- Perk's travel page says FlexiTravel gets a business at least 80% of a canceled trip's cost back, guaranteed. This is Perk's own statement. Source
silentVIP
- Essentials: $8 per active traveler a month, $22 per flight booking and $12 per hotel or rail booking, with a $600 monthly minimum. Changes cost $15 each.
- Managed: $14 per active traveler a month, $30 per flight booking and $15 per hotel or rail booking, with a $2,000 monthly minimum. Changes are included.
- We take no commissions from airlines or hotels; you pay the fees on our pricing page, and any hotel-program fee paid to us is shown on your invoice (how we're paid).
The difference: Perk's fee rises with the price of each booking up to its cap, and Starter has no platform fee or minimum. silentVIP's booking fees are flat, with a platform fee per active traveler and a monthly minimum. Which comes to less depends on your trip prices and volumes, so price a month both ways.
Worked example
One month, priced on both models
Perk charges a percentage of each booking, so its fees depend on what your trips cost. Ours don't. Perk's plan fees, percentages and per-booking limits are from Perk's pricing page, checked Oct 21, 2026; ours are from our pricing page.
Example: 40 people traveling, 30 flights and 25 hotel or rail bookings
The travelers, flights and hotel bookings are those of the first worked example on our pricing page. Changes are counted at our cost tool's rate of 15% of bookings (8.25 changes, where the pricing example uses 8), so silentVIP Essentials comes to $1,404 here and $1,400 there. The average prices, $450 a flight and $300 a hotel or rail booking, are example figures we chose to show the arithmetic. They aren't averages from Perk, from us or from any survey, so put in your own below.
| Plan | Monthly or platform fee | Booking fees | Changes | Minimum top-up | Fees for the month |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Perk Starter | $0 | $1,050 | No charge | None | $1,050 |
| Perk Premium | $99 | $630 | No charge | None | $729 |
| Perk Pro | $299 | $630 | No charge | None | $929 |
| silentVIP Essentials | $320 | $960 | $124 | None | $1,404 |
| silentVIP Managed | $560 | $1,275 | $0 | $165 | $2,000 |
Perk: the fee per booking
- Starter: 5% of a $450 flight is $22.50; 5% of a $300 hotel or rail booking is $15.
- Premium and Pro: 3% of a $450 flight is $13.50; 3% of a $300 hotel or rail booking is $9.
- Perk Starter: $0 a month + 30 × $22.50 + 25 × $15 = $1,050
- Perk Premium: $99 a month + 30 × $13.50 + 25 × $9 = $729
- Perk Pro: $299 a month + 30 × $13.50 + 25 × $9 = $929
Perk's pricing page shows the percentages, the $2 minimum and the $30 maximum per booking. Applying the percentage to each booking's price, within those limits, is our reading of it.
silentVIP: the published fees
- silentVIP Essentials: 40 travelers × $8 + 30 × $22 + 25 × $12 + about 8.25 changes × $15 = $1,404
- silentVIP Managed: 40 travelers × $14 + 30 × $30 + 25 × $15 + about 8.25 changes, included = $1,835, below the $2,000 minimum, so $2,000
Changes are estimated at 15% of bookings, the assumption the cost tool on our pricing page uses, so 12 of these months, before rounding, equal that tool's yearly total. After-hours calls on Essentials ($45 each) are left out.

Read the numbers with care
- Fees only. Fares and room rates come on top with both, and they can differ: compare them on the same itinerary.
- The two models aren't the same service. With Perk, travelers book for themselves; with silentVIP, our team sources each trip. Set the fees against what each one does for you.
- Using one average price per booking type is an approximation. At 3%, the fee is the $2 minimum on bookings under $66.67 and the $30 maximum from $1,000; at 5%, under $40 and from $600. If many of your bookings sit either side of those lines, price a real month booking by booking.
- Perk's pricing page doesn't say what counts as one booking, or whether the percentage is of the price with taxes. Ask Perk to confirm its fees, and any implementation fee, in writing.

Questions to ask Perk, or us
Our suggestions. The same questions work for any travel provider.
The booking fee
- What counts as one booking: a round trip, each ticket, each hotel stay?
- Is the percentage taken on the price with taxes and fees, and is it the same for flights, hotels, rail and cars?
- Is there an implementation fee for our setup, and how much?
Service
- Who answers when a trip goes wrong at night, and is the response time in the contract?
- Which plan includes a named account manager?
- Who keeps unused ticket credits and refunds, and how are they reported to finance?
