Comparison
Navan and Perk, side by side
Navan and Perk (formerly TravelPerk) both sell self-booking travel and expenses on one platform, with their own support teams. One difference shows on the pricing pages: Navan lists its Business plan as free up to 300 employees and quotes above that, while Perk publishes a platform fee plus a fee per booking. Below, area by area, is what each says on its own pages, checked on Oct 22, 2026, with a link for every statement.
In short
Which fits which program
Navan may suit you if…
- You have up to 300 employees and want to use Navan Business, which Navan lists as free
- You're in the US and want the vendor's own corporate card today
- You want a per-booking virtual card for every trip
Perk may suit you if…
- You'd rather start from published platform and booking fees above 300 employees than from a quote
- You want a set number of policies by plan (1, 10 or unlimited) at a published platform fee
- You want to start with no platform fee, paying per booking, and add policies and integrations by plan
Our reading of the sourced statements below, not a verdict. Your own trips, systems and support needs decide it.

How each is bought
Navan
Each statement links to Navan's own page, checked Oct 22, 2026.
Worth asking: Both sell booking and expenses from one company, and both have a self-serve entry plan. Ask which plan your headcount and entity count would put you on, and what moves you to the next one.
Booking
Navan
Each statement links to Navan's own page, checked Oct 22, 2026.
- Travelers see in-policy options, hotels where colleagues have stayed before, flight statistics and hotel reviews while they book. Source
- Travelers can change or cancel most bookings themselves, directly on Navan. Source
- For group trips, organizers create an event with its own spend controls, get cost estimates and invite travelers to book. Source

Perk
Each statement links to Perk's own page, checked Oct 22, 2026.

- Travelers can change or cancel bookings “instantly in a few taps”, in Perk's words. Source
- Perk's support page describes help with group bookings of nine or more travelers, with one point of contact. Source
Worth asking: Both let travelers book for themselves. Ask which airlines' and hotels' content each shows for your routes, and who handles a booking the tool can't make.
Policy and approvals
Navan
Each statement links to Navan's own page, checked Oct 22, 2026.
- In-policy bookings can be approved automatically or routed to a set approver based on who is booking or why; out-of-policy bookings are flagged for review or rejected, depending on the company's settings. Source

Payments and expenses

- Out-of-pocket expenses are claimed with a receipt photo and, once approved, reimbursed through payroll or to the employee's bank account. Source

- Navan Expense is free for the first 5 monthly expensing users, then $15 per user per month. Source
- Above 300 employees, Navan asks you to request a demo; Navan Enterprise shows no price and reads “Let’s talk”. Source
Perk
Each statement links to Perk's own page, checked Oct 22, 2026.
- Travel plans charge a monthly platform fee plus a fee per booking: Starter $0 a month plus 5%, Premium $99 plus 3%, and Pro $299 plus 3%. Source
- The booking fee has a minimum of $2 and a maximum of $30 per booking. Source
- Spend, and Travel and Spend together, are priced per active user per month, and Perk says Spend's current pricing is for a limited time only. Source
- Perk's pricing FAQ says it may charge an implementation fee, depending on the complexity of the setup and the deal. Source
Worth asking: Up to 300 employees, Navan Business travel is listed as free with Navan Expense charged per user after the first 5, while Perk charges a platform fee plus a fee per booking and prices Spend per active user. Add up a year of your own trips and expense users on both. Above 300, Navan is by quote, so ask both for every fee over 12 months, including implementation, for the same trips.
