- Seasons: every destination's lodging rate changes during the year. A trip across a season change has nights at each rate. M&IE stays the same all year.
- First and last days: a federal traveler gets 75% of the M&IE rate on the first and last day of a trip, shown in the last column.
- Lodging rates exclude taxes. M&IE includes taxes and tips on meals.
